First Graders Shine as Super Communicators!

Woo hoo! Ms. Lee's first graders are becoming super communicators through writing! Since the beginning of school, the kiddos have been working on their writing skills, both in paper and online! Mrs. Lee's class has also been talking about what it means to be a good communicator.

When asked "What does a good communicator look and sound like?" students explained to the class that a good communicator "looks at your eyes", "talks with their friend", and "faces the speaker."

The first graders were also asked to draw what a communicator looks and sounds like and they had such cool ideas! Many drew people talking with speech bubbles, and one student even drew someone speaking at a good volume.

After their drawings, the communicators in Mrs. Lee's classroom got on Wixie, a digital storytelling application, and wrote about stories that interested them! Some first graders wrote about their favorite animal and others wrote about adventures with their families!

These first graders are proof that even the youngest learners can be amazing communicators. They're ready to take on the world with their super communication powers! Way to go, first graders!
